Over the winter holiday I made my way over to Maui to see friends and relax a bit before the new years. The wind was blowing very hard and the flight over in the 20 passenger twin prop airplane was just what I needed to get waken up at 645am! I flew on Island Air and they made a quick pit stop on Molokai to pick up additional passengers before landing in Kapalua on Maui... Each landing was progressivly more gnarly as the trade winds begun to pick up!
Finally landed on Maui the festivities begun! Good day of volley ball and mai tai drinking started off the vacation.. The next day we went out on the Maui Jim fishing boat in hopes to reel in some mahi mahi.. while we didnt get any fish we scored an epic whale show! The last day of the trip we went out by Wailea to go snorkel at this amazing cove (see photo). Again the conditions were very choopy and cold! Threw on my The North Face jacket after and immedietly warmed up! Over all an amazing experience and couldnt of asked for a better way to finish off the year!
